Prof. Guido Pintacuda
Director of Research (DR1 CNRS)
Member of the National Committee for Scientific Research
Guido Pintacuda studied Chemistry at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, where he graduated in 1997 and completed his PhD in 2002. He has then worked with Pr Otting in Stockholm and Canberra and with Pr Emsley in Lyon, where he was promoted CNRS Research Director (full professor) in 2009. He leads a group developing NMR methods for biological solids and paramagnetic materials, and since 2019 he is the head of the Lyon High-Field NMR center. He is Principal Investigator in several projects funded by national and European agencies, has coordinated an Initial Training Network, and in 2015 he was awarded an ERC consolidator grant on “Structure of paramagnetic integral membrane metalloproteins by MAS-NMR”.
